Managing Organizations
Understand how organizations work in Gendo — settings, workspaces, creation, and ownership.
What are Organizations?
Organizations allow teams to collaborate inside a shared workspace. All projects, canvases, and team members belong to a specific organization. Users can create their own organization and may also be invited to join other organizations created by different teams. On the Free plan, you can create only one organization, but you can be invited to join unlimited organizations. Each organization has an Owner who manages subscription, billing, seat allocation, and permissions.
Understanding the interface
Organization Settings
To manage an organization, go to the Projects dashboard, click the organization name in the top-left corner, and select Manage org. From here you can manage team members, invite collaborators, manage seats and permissions, and view subscription details. The Manage org option is only available from the Projects screen.
Step by Step
Switch between organizations
If you are part of multiple organizations, use the organization dropdown in the top-left corner of the Projects page. Your permissions and access may differ depending on the organization you are currently working in.
Create an organization
Click the organization name in the top-left corner, then select Create new organization and enter the organization name.
Manage ownership and billing
Each organization has an Owner who manages subscription and billing, seat allocation, organization settings, and team member permissions. Only the Owner can upgrade the organization's subscription plan.

Get Better Results
Small studios typically need one organization — larger practices can create separate organizations per department.
Use the Workspace Selector in the top-left to switch between organizations quickly.
Free Plan allows one organization, but you can be invited to unlimited organizations created by others.
Only the Organization Owner can manage subscriptions and billing — ensure the right person holds ownership.
